Trek Overview
The Everest View Heli Trek is designed for travelers who want a genuine trekking experience in the Khumbu region without committing to the full 12–14 day journey to Everest Base Camp. Over the first five days, you'll trek the real Everest trail by flying into Lukla, walking through Sherpa villages, crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge, and climbing to Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery, just as classic Everest Base Camp trekkers do.
Rather than continuing on foot for another week to reach Base Camp and Kala Patthar, this itinerary swaps the remaining days on the trail for a scenic helicopter flight, soaring past Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam to land near Kala Patthar for close-up views of the world's highest peak, before flying directly back to Kathmandu. It's the best of both experiences i.e. real trekking time in authentic Sherpa villages, combined with the efficiency and thrill of a helicopter finish.
This is an ideal choice for trekkers with limited vacation time, those wanting a physically lighter alternative to the full Base Camp trek, or anyone who wants to genuinely experience the Khumbu trail on foot while still reaching the region's most iconic viewpoint.

Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation
You'll spend three nights in Kathmandu in a comfortable hotel before, during, and after the trek. On the trail, you'll stay in traditional teahouses run by local Sherpa families in Phakding, Namche Bazaar, and Tengboche, some of the best-developed teahouse infrastructure in the Everest region. Rooms are twin-share with a bed, blanket, and pillow, with hot showers and Wi-Fi widely available for a small fee.
Meals
All meals during the trek are included. Breakfast typically consists of porridge, eggs, pancakes, and toast. Lunches and dinners feature dal bhat (rice with lentil soup), noodles, momos, fried rice, and simple pasta dishes. Vegetarian options are always available. Since this itinerary only reaches Tengboche on foot, menu variety stays consistently good throughout the trek, without the narrowing typical of longer treks that continue past Dingboche.
