Risk-free booking
Risk-Free Booking Policy
Clear deposits, fair cancellation terms, and flexible date changes — so you can commit with confidence.
This is the plain-English version of how booking works with us. The full legal terms live on our Terms page; if anything here and there ever seems to disagree, the Terms page is the binding version. We have written this so you know where you stand before you pay anything.
Confirming your trip
- A 25% deposit confirms your dates and lets us start booking permits, guides, and lodges.
- The balance is due
[OWNER: confirm payment window]. - Once your deposit is in, your spot and your trek team are held for you.
We reply to booking questions within one working day, so you are not left waiting on a decision.
If you need to cancel
Plans change. If you have to cancel, what you get back depends on how much notice you give us, because by then we may already have paid permits, guides, and lodges on your behalf.
[OWNER: confirm cancellation tiers and refund percentages]
We will not invent numbers here. The exact tiers and refund amounts are set out on the Terms page, and we will confirm them with you in writing when you book.
Changing your dates
If you need to move your trek rather than cancel it, we will try to help.
- Date changes are subject to availability of guides, lodges, and permits.
[OWNER: confirm date-change terms]
Tell us as early as you can. The more notice we have, the more options we can offer.
Weather, health, and the mountain
Some things are outside anyone's control. Here is how we handle them.
- If we have to change a route for safety or weather, we will choose the safest sensible alternative and talk it through with you.
- Your guide has the final call on the mountain. If altitude sickness (AMS) shows up, we turn around or descend. No summit or pass is worth your health.
- For altitude and remote routes, helicopter evacuation may be the only way out. That is why evacuation cover is not optional (see below).
- We do not run a route we judge unsafe, even if it means a disappointed change of plan.
The mountain decides the timetable more often than we do. We plan for that, and so should you.
What you need from your side
A safe trip depends on you as much as on us.
- Insurance. You must carry travel insurance that covers helicopter evacuation and mountain medical care. Bring the policy details with you.
- Realistic fitness. Be honest with yourself about the route you have chosen. We are happy to advise on whether a trek matches your level.
- Honest health disclosure. Tell us about any medical conditions or medication before you travel. It stays private, and it helps your guide keep you safe.
If you are unsure about any of this, ask us before you book. We would rather answer ten questions now than have a surprise at 4,000 metres.
